Freak Factor is a USAT triathlon team from Phoenix, Arizona that is dedicated to putting the fun back into training and races while still being competitive. The club competes in over 15 races per year and our membership is growing faster than ever. Tired of complaining about the angry, overtrained, miserable dope on the overpriced time trial bike who is either too cool or too pissed off to say "Hi"? Our job here at Freak Factor is to force these guys into acknowledging us and make them laugh (also to beat the pants off them in the next race). Whether we are sneaking a fart machine in their transition bag or running across the finish line in a Darth Vader costume you will notice us, dagnammit.

NEWS!
It's been way too long between updates. You all probably thought that the President of FF had passed away by now- or removed from office. Sad to say, but no one else wants this job.
2009 was a great year for the Freaks. The title of "Ironman finisher" was added to a few of our member's resumes and we also have added a few new faces. FF raided the boat-house at Tempe Town Lake and came away with some real gems. New members include Suzie Fawcett (anyone know her?...), Pete Fioravanti, Michelle Rebeor, and Tammy Tusek. Also joining us are Jim Swafford and Hoyt Slocum. Quite a family we got going here. Does that make 35?
Other big news, 15 Freaks signed up for Ironman Az. after watching Jeff Huntley beat his personal best by almost an hour! This year he will be cheering us on while we destroy ourselves. Gonna keep it short and sweet today, I am tearing up over the loss (they have moved to Conn.) of Curt Mason and Kristi Miller. They are doing quite well living on the East Coast and have recruited some new blood that will be mentioned in our next update. Hopefully it won't be another 6 months before we get that update. Cheers.
